Pluto

Pluto discovered in 1930. It is small and frozen. It has one satellite. It turns around the sun every 249 years. Pluto is smaller than 7 of the moons in the Solar System. Because it is so small many scientists don't consider it a planet at all.

Neptune

Neptune has a size comparable to Uranus, it looks as if it has a blue shad. It has rings and 8 satellites. It turns around the sun in 165 years.

Uranus

Uranus is also called the "Blue-Green Planet", has 11 principal rings and 15 satellites. It turns around the sun every 84 years. Unlike all the other planets and most of the moons in our Solar System Uranus spins on its side.

Saturn

Saturn is slightly smaller in size than Jupitor. It presents a characteristic system: that of the rings made of ice blocks. it has 18 satellites. It turns around the sun in about 30 years.

Jupiter

Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system. It has 16 satellites. Its turn around the sun lasts less than 12 years. You can see four of Jupiter's moons with a pair of binoculars at night. Also Jupiter spins really fast. It only takes 10 hours to go from night to day on Jupiter. For that reason its middle has been stretched out. Rather than round it is short and fat.

Mars

Mars is th planet after the Earth. it is also called the "Red Planet". It was believed to have had life. It contains polar domes of carbon dioxide. It turns around the sun every 687 days. It ahs two satellites: Phoboas and Deimos.

Venus

Venus is the shiniest, also known as "The Star of Dawn". It is slightly smaller than the earth. It turns around the sun every 225 days. Like the Earth, Venus has an atmosphere. However, this atmosphere is far thicker than that of the Earth, making it difficult for modern science to penetrate.

Mercury

Mercury is the planet nearest to the sun. it turns around the sun once every 88 days.

Because this planet lies so close to the Sun, and as a result somewhat near to the Earth, it is visible to observers on Earth in the night time sky.

The Sun

The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System. It gives energy in form of sunlight that provides light and supports almost all life on Earth by photosynthesis, it also drives Earth's climate and weather.

The Sun is by far the largest object in the Solar System. 98% of all matter within the Solar System is found within the Sun. This means that all the planets, moons, asteroids, minor planets, comets, gas, and dust would all combine to make up only 2% of all the matter in the Solar System.
Because the Sun is so large compared to everything else, it is easily able to hold on to the rest of the matter, causing everything else to orbit around it.

The closest to Earth is the moon which is considered the natural satellite of the Earth because it orbits around the Earth due to the gravitation force of the Earth on the moon.

The earth is the third planet away from the sun, and it is the eight largest planets. It is the only place in the Universe where life exists, home to millions of species, including humans. It has water in abundance. It turns around the sun every 365.25 days.

It is sometimes referred to as the Blue Planet or the World.

The Solar System

The solar system is composed of nine planets of different nature and sizes. The Sun is the nearest star and source of the energy. The rest nineplanets are Mercury , Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The sun is in the middle and all the planets rotate around it in a relatively circular orbit. Our planet earth is thus far the only planet that life is found, scientists has been trying to discover life on other planets but thus far have not been successful.
